Nov. 21st, 2004 06:10 pmYea - another lung infection.
jfc013 sez my lungs are made of tissue paper, and I'm beginning to agree with her. And still no insurance. Yech. But at least I have NOTHING to do for 2 weeks, so I can lie about and get healthy (and fat) with no interruptions. Made it through last night's house concert relatively well - only a bit of feverish-rambling between songs, and I don't think I infected anyone.
I have the vaporizer running, and it feels like a shower in here, but it really is easier to breathe. I have maple oatmeal bread rising, cheddar cheese bread kneading, and chowder freezing. (It started out as clam chowder, but assorted bits of frozen sealife were on sale for $2.99, so it has mussels and shrimps and clams and squid-bits and little teeny octopiiiiiii.....) Not bad for a first try, but it still needs some kind of seasoning or something. It has thyme, s&p, onion, & worcestershire sauce.
Tomorrow I think I will make another one of those peanut-butter loaf cakes. I fed so much of the last one to my friends that I didn't get to enjoy it myself properly! And I bet it would freeze well. I'm almost out of laundry, but want to give my lungs another day to steam, so I will wait until at least tomorrow night, if not Tuesday.
