joining the cellular universe

Finally placed the phone order today. (Didn't have money until then). I suspect it will be here Friday-ish.

I caved to all my friends' advice and despite my preference for stuff without moving parts, I am getting a Motorola flippy-phone. It's a V-60S, and apparently the antenna-falling-off issue with the prior V60s has been addressed with this one.

Once I get my number, I'll put up a friends-only post looking for people's contact infos, especially those with Verizon that I can talk to for free! Also will be asking for contact info for those Northern VA folks who might want to get together while I'm in Leesburg for training (12/5-12/16)

Day 3 - still sick

coughed my lungs raw last night/this morning, but I think I may be turning the corner on this. resting, drinking quarts of iced tea, and trying not to cough. it's still yellow-green when i do though.

speaking of coughing, i talked to allie. she is in room 633. the inflammation from the pneumonia is waay down and they might even let her go home tomorrow! she is getting steroid treatment and insulin and bunches of other things, and says she is "pricked more than a scottish sheep!"

got my itinerary for my va trip. won't have my actual schedule of classes etc till i arrive, so visit-y plans will need to be made after then. fly into dulles on the 5th and home on the 16th. staying in national conference center in landsdowne. yay for free starbucks and fitness center. other than that, it looks like a classy dorm.

am too tired for capital letters.
