We have achieved bed!
Sep. 24th, 2006 09:18 pmI have finished re-assembly of the loft-bed, the last remaining piece of furniture in my apartment!
I ended up turning it 90 degrees from where I had planned to - I needed 1.5" more room behind the radiator to attach a crossbeam, and the short cross-pieces are attached a little further back than the long-wise one. But the rest of it went together pretty easily. Thanks again to
ashtalet and
jmc_da_dmg for their help yesterday - they helped me get it to the point where the superstructure was self-supporting and I could finish the rest of it myself. Pepper supervised for a bit before finding her kale more interesting.
I'm resting a bit before trying to manhandle the mattress up there so I can sleep on it tonight. Last night I slept on the futon in the living room and was awakened around 9:20 by a bunny on my face.
Anyone know anything about the new NBC Show "Heroes"? Somehow I managed to completely miss the new-show-buzz this year, and need to know if it's worth putting off laundry for.
