It's official!
Dec. 10th, 2006 05:28 pmWe have a band - now we have a NAME!
We are MERRY MEASURE!
Aside from the fa la la reference, there is also a poem by Percy Bysshe Shelley called "Rarely Comest Thou"
...Let me set my mournful ditty
To a merry measure;--
Thou wilt never come for pity,
Thou wilt come for pleasure;...
We had a good rehearsal tonight (in spite of a room reservation mixup with some filming by Sword and Cloak Productions, easily enough resolved). The new arrangement of "The Water is Wide" had me once again trying to poke the goosebumps back down on my arms, and "Wild Mountain Thyme" sounds great too. We'll be able to get one more rehearsal in before breaking for the holidays, with plenty of stuff for each of us to work on during that time. *bounce bounce*
