Well that was fun
Jan. 28th, 2007 10:42 pmIt was waaaay too cold to stand on the corner waiting for a bus tonight, so I got an I-Go car to head over to the Kastle's for rehearsal. (I'm singing with the OTS Sea Music class at the Chicago Maritime Festival in Feb) They are in kind of an awkward place to get to by bus anyway. The car nearest my house was booked until 7 so I got the one up by my grocery store and took my cart so I could also get groceries on the way back.
For a change rehearsal actually went according to planned time! It's pretty much the usual suspects again, with the addition of a couple of young ladies whose names I didn't get - one of whom is
woodywhistler's daughter. Yep - the world is thisbig. I'll be doing 'Marching Inland', because I was NOT gonna end up doing 'Farewell To Tarwathie' for the third year in a row! A nice mix and a nice sound - this bunch tends to be a little top-heavy but either all the boyz are louder this time around or it's not just me throwing in tenor range. I've got a harmony line on one that is close to the top of my range and another one has me singing lower than Bill. Should be fun.
Walking back from the car set off my coughing badly again. I'm starting up the antibiotics again, and hoping that will continue to clear out the glop. I'm getting really tired of this!
