Professor and Holocaust survivor who body-blocked the door of his classroom while telling students to flee. He was killed.

A senior who admits at first he hid behind the podium but then figured "we had to do something" and got other students to help him barricade the door to his classroom. The shooter tried to force his way in, and fired 2 shots into the door, but then went on down the hallway. All 11 students in the room survived.

Sadly, that champion of responsible journalism, Geraldo Rivera, apparently found a young man's livejournal and because "He is asian. He collects guns. He was ranting on a blog about his girlfriend. He goes to Virginia Tech." wrongly identified him as the VA Tech shooter AND publicized his LJ-username. Way to go asshole! (and thanx mslesa for more reasons to be pissed off at the media)
