well that was fun
Dec. 16th, 2007 10:00 pmWe sat around and ate and giggled at the bunny and giggled at miri and watched a wide variety of truly disturbing holiday fare.
Let's see - Futurama christmas 1 and 2, Robot Chicken Christmas 1 and 2, Dr. Who The Christmas Invasion, A Pinky and The Brain Christmas, A Wish for Wings That Work, A Fanboy Christmas, and the A Supernatural Christmas. Plus a couple of Mythbusters eps for those who stuck around long enough to order in Middle Eastern food.
Rose1thorn I forgot to give you the bloody knitting book!
Everyone got a $ store prezzie (and there was much trading) . Miri may have kicked Pepper in the head at one point, and Pepper nipped Ananda a bit later - I think because she wanted access to the yummy juice that had been spilled on the rung. justphoenix and csixtyfour brought me a prezzie - my very own copy of "Disapproving Rabbits"!
Of course now I have to prepare myself to go to work tomorrow - I do NOT want to, but at least the CTA will be running. Neither of the "brains replaced by HR manuals" will be there, and the Tuesday afternoon is the holiday party-whatever. I just have to make it through this week - next week I have off M-W and then M-T of the following week. Hopefully by then I'll have a couple fo nibbles on the job front.
The interview tomorrow is mainly for practice - I know I can do the job, but it sounds like a higher-stress environment than I really want - the point of looking for a new job is to have LESS stress and saner people. But it can't hurt to go look. Poked around on their website, which is well-designed if you want to buy a property and badly designed if you want to actually find anything out about the company.
But now all the furniture is back where it belongs and Pepper is stretched out on the rug looking sleepy. I wish I was - I'm all work-stressy. Sigh.
