I'm still here
Jan. 13th, 2008 01:41 pmI just have been making an effort to stay off the computer most of the weekend.
Friday afternoon at work I had a time-critical Excel project to re-work, and the comination of time-pressure, stress at not being entirely too sure exactly what I was doing (more advanced Excel than I usually do) meant I was tense, leaning too far forward, and using too much pressure on my mouse.
I woke up Saturday morning with little sparklies of pain in my hand and wrist. Since I had a bout of carpal tunnel syndrome back in '01, I KNOW what that means, and promptly popped my wrist into splints and shut off the computer. Spent most of the day reading, napping, and watching Dr. Who instead.
Today is much better, but I'll still baby things for a bit, take my NSAIDS, and sleep with the spint on until I'm sure the swelling is all back down.
