I could get used to this
Oct. 19th, 2008 01:58 pmThere was nothing really interesting on TV last night so I went to be early. Woke up 12 hours later. Got up, breakfasted, and fell asleep on the couch for another 3 hours. I guess I'm making a dent in 3 months of sleep-debt.
Was going to run errands up in Evanston, but we'll see how productive I feel - nothing that can't wait. At some point I need to finish up that final load of faire laundry and start packing things away for the season (since I'm skipping Windycon this year). This will also help me figure out if my vague plans of what-is-going-to-go-in-which-closets will actually work.
It's just SOO nice to have NOTHING to do!
I actually got some useful things done - got my mammogram eeeaarrlyy yesterday morning (because there would be no wait), and then after another nap I walked over and voted, checked the local fabric, furniture and hardware stores for prices on things I plan to get eventually, picked up a bunch of things I vaguely needed (from cheese to glue sticks), hung the bathroom mirror, soap dish and toothbrush holder, and weatherstripped the back door. I also hung fake blood gel-stuff on the outside lobby door - might as well start letting the new neighbors know what they're in for! But I've also finished up Cantor's In The Wake of the Plague and started my second read on Misty's latest Valdemar book. This afternoon I plan to hang my cheap-knockoff-Sky-Chair on the porch and finish spackling various holes around the place.
