i has another dresser
Oct. 20th, 2008 07:58 pmIt does not in fact match the nightstand I got off craigslist for $20, but it's certainly a decent size for $50, and I plan to repaint them all to match eventually (semi-gloss black with gloss royal blue drawer fronts and silver hardware). AND I even got it up 3 flights of stairs by myself, though it was an experience I don't much care to repeat any time soon.
This will mean I can get rid of the plastic utility shelving I was using as auxiliary storage in the bedroom. Yeah - I'm classy that way.
However, I learned that you should not hang a mirror with Command Adhesive, even the kind that says its for picture hanging, and even if it's a crappy Family Dollar mirror. Oops. (Cleanup on aisle 3...)
I also gave up and got another charger for my cordless drill/screwdriver/thingie. This of course means that I will find the old one this evening. I brought it in and the guys found one that shoudl work - a little lower in amperage than the original but I don't mind it taking a while to charge. The only question was did we have the inner/outer polarity right. (Apparently if you get it wrong, the most likely result is "Um - it'll smoke and catch fire?!?"). But I charged it on my office desk all day, checking it regularly, and the lack of anything alarming indicates that we may well have guessed correctly.
