OK - RCN kept me on hold and ran a bunch of tests last week, then told me my modem was not working and that they would have to send a technician out to replace it.

So I made arrangements to take a partial day tomorrow (between the pulmo appt and this).

I just started up my computer to look up an address, and it connected just fine.

Think thta just to be sure I'll wait till tomorrow morning and make sure it's actually working properly again before I cancel that appt.
