We just got a cold call saying that the service on our phone system was up for renewal. Now I'm not only the person who screens out sales calls but also the person who services the phone system, so I know we don't HAVE a service agreement.
I dig a little further and get the name of the company they are calling from...
Turns out it was the company that fired me back in 01 for "faking a sick day' while I was on crutches with my X-ray report in my hand...AND who fought me every step of the way and denied my unemployment - his brother is a weasel lawyer.
Also they service Avaya equipment, which we don't have.
So I very sweetly said said "not only do we NOT have the kind of phone system you service, but I would never do business with Mr. Birge in a million years becuse of the way he treats his people. And you can tell him the office manager he fired in 2001 says so" and hung up.
Then I did a little dance at my desk...
