I has a grumpee
Apr. 28th, 2009 10:04 amI'm trying not to let the condo board stuff bother me, but it is.
"You're making this all more complicated than it needs to be!"
No - I'm making it exactly as complicated as it needs to be.
I need to know what was decided on about the motion sensor lights. Apparently it was decided to use the kind that are already on the former president's porch. (I'm guessing this is so because I went through the bag in the basement). We only have 2, and the maintenance guy, the electrician and I all feel we need 3. I can get another one this weekend. I also need to know what was budgeted for this - if we have an amount budgeted then I can go with the first contractor I find who can meet that AND get them installed soonest. Generally we need 3 bids, but this is a safety situation.
Then there is the issue of permanent porch lights. We just can't go buy them and get them installed. This falls under the "all business decisions must be made in open meeting" thing. Every owner gets a chance to have a say in things like this, although the final decision is made by the board. So this goes on the agenda for the June 9th meeting.
I have this silly thing about complying with state law...
