How's this for a Happy Mother's Day?
May. 10th, 2009 11:19 amMy mom is spending her Mother's Day sorting out legal paperwork because her ex-husband my dad is petitioning to eliminate her alimony. She was served on Friday morning.
According to the paperwork, my dad lives on 8 acres and has a line item for "domestic services" but due to the economy he's suffering financial hardship and wants to cut off my mom's payments.
He also listed my brother's ages wrong (He thinks we're 46 and 41, I'm 42 and John is 37) and he still thinks I live in Evanston.
Yeah - and people wonder why I look at them oddly when they say "but's he's your FATHER- you HAVE to have him in your life". Um - no I don't.
