Didn't find any deers, but found lots of tracks and poops. Wow - I don't feel as sick as I did (though I am still coughing) but I got winded just walking up the hill! <-----wimp.
I talked to a couple of people on the phone and they all said "Wow - you sound like you are really excited about this job". I got to thinking about that....
I don't think that it's so much this job that has me excited as the fact that I'm finally DOING something. I've been unemployed for months now, and I'm BORED! Also, I'm a very curious (aka 'nosey') person, and I really like to know how stuff works. Even though I can't tell anyone about most of the stuff I know. Just finding out is pretty cool.
And part of is probably is sheer relief! This past week has been brutal. A lot of memorizing, and a lot of terminology and acronyms to learn. Unlike some of the people in my class, airport operations and security protocol are foreign languages to me, so I've been working really hard. But this week, while still challenging, will be much easier for me. This week is the actual "how to do your job" part, which is mostly learning the software and role-playing the scenarios. Role playing and computer stuff (certainly at the level we need to know) are very easy for me, so I feel like the pressure's really off now. I still have to work, and pass a few things (like my handwand practical), but I'm not really worried any more. With just reasonble concentration, I'll do fine.
But for now, a nap!

Here's hoping that the week goes smoothly... and that handwand doesn't give you a hard time (and that you don't forget your place)!
