That whale lost in the Thames died today.
It beached itself, and despite the best efforts of rescuers it didn't make it.
Waaah.

In other news, I dropped off the hamster supplies at the Red Door shelter today. I stayed for a bit to visit with the bunnies that were there and to chat with volunteers. My favorite was a hyooooge lop by the name of Zeus, and we visited for a bit before the cat hair drove me outside. He's a big lazy lump of bunny with a grumpy-old-man lop face.

I was actually sniffly on the way home, and it wasn't the allergies. I think it was because I'm closing a door of sorts. No more hamsters. I've had one at a time more or less since 1998. Snowball, Squeaks, Mallory, Pumpkin, Bistro, and Renfield. It's sort of sad to think that there will be no little nibbly noises for me. (little tear drips)

:( I weep for the poor whale.
But I love bunnies!

Sorry about your hamster woes.

Yep, poor whale :( Seems that when they do things like that, they're intending to die. If I would've become a marine biologist (one of those dream jobs for me) I'd want to research why marine mammals beach themselves. Is it that the mammal part of them wants to die on land?
(ya know, sometimes the things I wonder about worry me!)

And yes, an older bun that needs you will be perfect for you!
