will she or won't she?

Seriously - I've had this about-to-get-sick thing going on for a couple of days now and I really wish I'd just get sick and get it over with. My throat hurts about half the time, and it sometimes hurts to swallow, and my nose runs sometimes.

Stayed home from the Kaffein-ated Apples-fest tonight in an attempt to really get healthy. A nice long nap this afternoon only resulted in my feeling logy and vaguely unsure as to what time of day it is.

However, I have slain the great laundry-beast (laundry is MUCH more heroic when you have the LOTR soundtracks on your pod) and dishes are about to be pummled into submission.

Now I'm getting in my last Olympic fixes in. Seriously laughing at Bode Miller - bwa ha ha - twit. I was happy that they showed biathalon coverage this afternoon - since I don't have cable I end up missing wierd and wonderful sports like biathalon and doubles luge in favor of endless hockey games. Is anyone surprised that 3/4 of the US curling team is from a small town in northern Minnesota? Dude, they live in Minnesota - the land where you have to plug your cars in at night. Of COURSE they are good at curling. It probably keeps them from going berserk and eating their more annoying relatives sometime around mid-January. And *smack* for the olympic committee people who think that ski jumping is "too dangerous" for gurlz. Watch some of the horrific crashes in the Alpine events much? I personally have no desire to fling myself off a mountain any time soon, but anyone who wants to leave a few bones and ligaments and a *whole* heap of brain cells up there has my blessing.

I got to watch some of the curling this year.

My father was in a league when we lived in Alaska, so I was trying hard to remember the rules he told me about. Right now, I don't know anyone (MN) who actually does curling.

Funny thing, though. Phydleena (on my friends list) works for the web company that puts up the Olympic news and ads. She has been posting about how many hours she has been putting in during coverage...I hope she can get some sleep, soon. She now says the Olympics are evil....I think she needs some sleep.

While you were missed, we mostly ended up hanging at Noodle Company and talking.

Weird tho - aparently Rob tried to wrangle an invite from [profile] wooisme, but she wasn't sure of my reaction to him. My response, I don't much care either way but, did you *not* notice where Wendy Z said she might join?

feel better!

well, I have no real problem with Captain Oblivious showing up should it come up again. I even gave him a good reference.
