wendyzskiYesterday was about 15% hangover, 30% lack-of-sleep, 20% homebrew-cider-two-step, and 35% coming-down-with-a-cold. A handful of assorted cold meds, a decent night's sleep, and a biiig gatorade later I'm feeling somewhat better. Certainly not at my best, but not bad enough to stay home.
Looking at a mostly-quiet day of slogging my way through a few big stacks of papers but nothing I can't handle.
Congenial was ok - I think it'd have been a lot more interesting for both us and the other attendees if there had been more musicians than just us, but "my grandmother died Friday morning" is certainly a VERY good reason not to be there. unclevlad's house if unclevlad had a large-ish house with three big living rooms, lots of smaller bedrooms, and a pool. People sitting around telling funny stories, handing around the 'Official Convention Baby', munching and drinking, playing games or watching movies if the mood struck - just a nice quiet good time.
