Candy is fighting some family opposition to try and have him buried in his Front Gate outfit. Personally, I'm going in garb.

Internment to follow at Waldheim Cemetary - Jewish section, 1700 S Harlem Avenue - approximately 1:30 depending on traffic

Yeah - apparently son wants to move in to "take care of her" (aka "run her life"). Tossed the rennies out of the house who were helping on phones and stuff, and is fighting the "meeting his God in garb" idea. That's part of why I'm dressing - partly to honor Bart and partly to show the family that we are NOT going away.

Not going to cause a scene or anything - this is not the time. But we will be letting Candy know that she has only to say the word and we will take care of her. But she does have to say the word, cuz it is her choice.

Well, I just spoke with her, so she knows we are aware. I trust her enough to honestly let us know when she needs. Also told her that I at least am dressing up, and she sounded very happy about it.

Right now she is busy being irritated at the cleaning service that came and did a crappy job. Cleaning Service Mk2.0 is scheduled tomorrow morning at 9. If they suck too, she has promised to pick up the phone for Rennie-Kleen. Also dealing with the fact that her manager whom she notified promptly when all this started has since quit without passing things up the line to HR. Hopefully they will just take all the dated paperwork and shut up now - the LAST thing she needs is to have to fight for her job too.

Now I have to make a few minor repairs to the only outfit I have that is mostly black, and iron the high-neck partlet.

I just sent a condolence email and plan to bring out a rose bush to plant at the front gate to commemorate Bart. I'm sure we can come up with a plaque of some sort...

Great - there are a lot of lists scribbled on lots of little pieces of paper all over the place with people's contact info on them, and maybe a name. I'm just going with the "blanket-post and the people who didn't know him can just ignore it.
