Yeah, it's Friday night at a con and I'm bored.

To be fair, it is that awkward hour between dinner and parties, so there isn't much around. Saw evil_phoenix briefly in the lobby but I had my arms full of luggage at the time. Opening ceremonies seemed heavy on the Stupid Klingon Jokes when I peered in (though there is a Birds of Prey group here that could be cool), and the consuite is pretty empty. So I came back to my room to poke around online, drink Mountain Dew, and wait for something interesting to happen.

If nothing else I will go to the "Randomly Randy" reading at 9. Reading randim lines from romancenovels and Shakespeare. Last time I saw this it was a New Year's Eve party and we ended up with five people in bed with a horse.

Got our schedule for WiRen in July. THREE shows a day, plus closing. *snores* Guess I'd best go looking for a new man-fishing pole, or I'ma gonna fall asleep mid-day!

Yeah -I know. It's not exactly the most happening con around.

Then again, I go mostly for the shoppies (closed by now), parties (not open by now) and hanging out with people (who have to be around here someplace...) I worked my butt off at Marcon and I want to sit around with cool people and drink blue things.

You get a bunch of people in a circle with books - that time was several trashy romance novels (aka 'girl porn') and the complete Shakespeare. Then you take turns reading one sentence at a time picked at random and see what kind of story you end up with. Like I said - five people in bed with a horse...

Yes there was. For most of the evening it was the only party serving booze. I watched the end of 'Army of Darkness' and the beginning of 'Aeon Flux'. Because it's all about 'splodey things!
