settling in

Unpacking continues apace. I have almost all of the books unpacked now.
I was using my black IKEA shelving unit as a kind of room divider at the old place, so I was able to put books in both sides Now that it is against the wall, I realized last night that I was going to need more space for the library.
I was pretty pleased with the 4-shelf bookcase that I got from Target, so I went back tonight to get two of these. They fit exactly on either side of the IKEA unit for a whole wall of books! Of course, nothing is really organized yet, but at least it's all out now.
Unfortunately, the weight of both bookcases was a bit too much for my grocery cart, which broke off the front axle as I got off the 2nd bus. I may be able to fix it, but I've rigged some repairs in the past on it and it may just be time to replace it.
So I continue unpacking. Most of my clothes are unpacked. Now granted, if it was con costumes or out-of-season clothing, I simply tossed the boxes into the main closet - I'll deal with them later. But the basic stuff is getting done. The computer setup will have to wait till the weekend, likewise the kitchen stuff.
I am SO not looking forward to tackling the loft, but I can't set up any of the sewing stuff until that's done. Right now all the pieces are sitting in the kitchen, taking up the bunny-space.
