It was lovely to have a place to go barefoot in the grass!
The water at our hotel was crunchy. I just kept pretending that it was expensive mineral water. The well water on site was just fine.
The Harry Dresden books by Jim Butcher are (paperbacks) Storm Front, Fool Moon, Grave Peril, Summer Knight, Death Masks, Blood Rights, (hardcover) Dead Beat and Proven Guilty. They are very similar in tone to the early (pre-porm) Anita Blake novels - Supernatural whodunnits with a wicked sense of humor.
