Hey Jmthane

maybe you need to move to Ohio not Michigan?

Marriage Oath In Ohio County Asks If Person Is Transsexual
(Springfield, Ohio) Couples planning to marry in Clark County, Ohio are asked if either person is transsexual. It is believed to be the only jurisdiction in the country where people are asked to swear they are not transgendered before receiving a marriage license.

Under Ohio law a person's birth gender is the only one considered legal. It does not bar transsexuals from marrying but means that a male to female transsexual can only marry a woman...

Easy-peasy!

(I love when stuff like this can come back to bite them in the ass!)

I doubt one of the supporters of the legislation would really express any chagrin at seeing a male2fem marry a natural fem, which is what 'coming back to bite in the ass' is all about.

even if it hasn't now, eventually it will... you cannot, in the name of justice and freedom, make laws specifically restricting the personal rights of fragments of the population based solely on individually held religious beliefs. I mourn our common decency when things like this occur (my state, Nevada made it constitutional), but I know, in the end, these sort of laws will fail.

I agree that this country should avoid becoming a theocracy.
