It has certainly been an eventful few days over Chez Z.
First of all - I HAVE A JOB!!!! I start Tuesday as the Administrative Assistant at Plato Foufas & Co. LLC in Michigan Avenue, just south of the river. It's a 45-60 minute commute, either bus that goes practially door-to-door or train and then a 3 block walk. It's about $1200 less per year but also 5 hours less work per week. Bennies are about the same. Dress is "business casual" so dark jeans and a nice sweater are fine and I don't have to buy any new clothes. I said Tuesday so I can still hit Transworld on Monday afternoon and try to talk vendors into selling me shinies.
(BTW -
bigblued, when are we going? I've got the Maritime Festival this weekend too, so my time is filling up.)
Secondly, Merry Measure has scored a plum gig for St. Patrick's Day. We will be playing from 3-6 in the side room at Durty Nellie's in Palatine. (We have to follow Molly & The Tinker!) AND we might even have a second gig that evening in DeKalb, but it's not finalized. Wow. I am both terribly excited and horribly intimidated - it means a lot of hard work between now and then to flesh out the repertoire, but we can do it.
Guess I'll go take a nap while I still can....

Date: 2007-02-22 09:45 pm (UTC)Oh, my dentist said something to me last week that I kept thinking I should mention to you. He told me that I should replace my toothbrush any time I get sick with anything gastric or upper respiratory, since the crap that caused it can live in the toothbrush bristles and reinfect me. I would guess you already knew it but I thought I'd pass it along. :)
