wendyzskiI bailed on gaming tonight. It sounded fun, but so did adequate sleep before tomorrow's gig.
I made up some pseudo-business-cards, stocked the CD basket and tip jar, and tuned up the psaltery. Haven't decided what I am going to wear yet, though I was happy to see that Palatine has a no-smoking ordinance that includes bars so whatever I end up in won't reek of cigarettes. I'll probably still leave my coat in the car and not bring a purse. I always said you'd have to pay me to get me into a bar on St. Patrick's Day again. Guess I was right! (The drunks in the green plastic hats and feather boas were already wandering Michigan Avenue when I left the office at 5...)
I also hard-boiled some eggs (for less carb-intense munchies), and have some english muffin bread a-rising. Spent a little quality time with Pepper, who is finally settling down again after her big date evening - a combination of the strange boys, the bus ride, and the smell of the shelter had her a little skittish and hide-y until this morning. Gonna take a nice long bath and go to bed early. Tomorrow is going to be long and very intensive in concentration and energy.

Date: 2007-03-17 03:37 am (UTC)If you are minded to hop on the Red Line for a short ride to Chinatown, that's also pretty close to where I work. I noted today that there's a restaurant there that advertised All-You-Can-Eat Sushi for $17.99, if you are a sushi kind of person.
