Yeah, all one of you...But I have a lot of people who KNOW people in NJ.
It's been 20 years since I lived there, and being as I was in high school I didn;t travel too much.
An office-mate is going to the NYC area in August, and is staying at the Homewood Suites in Cranford, about 8 miles from Newark.
Aside from the basic shabbiness that is Newark, anyone have any area knowledge good or bad?

One recommendation: Don Pepe's, which is on McCarter Highway (aka Rt
21). Spanish (as in from Spain) cuisine and very yummy. There are a lot
of restaurants in the Ironbound district (particularly Portuguese,
Mexican and Indian). Ironbound is mostly safe but I wouldn't go
trailblazing off of the main drags for more than a block unless in a
car.
