and I'm still able to walk! This is a Good Thing.
I taped my arch and wore my most supportive shoes. I had a little bit of trouble early on - more unstable-feeling or vague discomfort than actual pain. There is a definite sore spot just in front of my heel. But I am hopeful that I caught this thing early enough to head it off at the pass with some judicious care. I have a little round ice-thing that was supposed to go in a water bottle that I melted in the dishwasher, and it's the PERFECT size to rull under my foot for ice-massage.
This assumes that I survive The Wrath of Bunny. I had to have the plumber in today, as the crappy PVC wastewater pipe under my sink spontaneously disconnected last night, sending water EVERYWHERE. Looks like they fixed it fine, but it also meant that Pepper had to be shut into her spacious condo for the whole day for the first time in months. She is currently taking out her frustrations on a large basket she's been nibbling on for a while, but I fear for my toes. Perhaps I can bribe her with some fresh cilantro...
Have the follow-up with the pulmonologist tomorrow morning. I'm MUCH better with the Flovent, though my regular doc and I agree that finding an inhaled anti-inflammatory that I can tolerate and adding that should do the trick. I still use about 1/2 to 1 dose from the nebulizer in the morning on days I know it will be humid or sneezy, but that's not every day. So cautiously optimistic there.
