I didn't want to go to work but I didn't want to stay home either. There are only 2 people in the office today, and she knows and is leaving me mostly alone to do basic routine stuff that doesn't require brain cells. Work has been very supportive - I had let them know this might be coming, so when I said at 10AM on Wednesday "I have to go now" they said "fine", and they know I'm on IM and e-mail a lot today.

That's weirdly like what happened to me Wednesday morning... my cousins started texting me and I found out at 9:30 that my Grandfather had passed in the night. I just said "I have to go" and everyone was really supportive. I'm glad you're not stuck with tyrants demanding inhuman rejection of loss from you. I loved the pic of your friend with the R2 mailbox- my friend and I went around our town and did that. =) It's wonderful, from seeing your posts and comments, that she has so many people to remember her life.
