OK THAT'S cool!

We rehearse every Thursday evening, usually at Artist in Residence and usually in a rehearsal room facing Winthrop. It's also a lovely night out, so we had all the windows open.

We were running through our rearrangement of Minstrosity's old "Ankle Twister Set", which is the Rufty Tufty (2x) and Gathering Peasecods (2x, diff keys). Fred has some really nifty ornamentatioon on flute that he's added to it.

We wrapped it up, and I turned to my list to decide what to run next, and I realize that I can hear someone applauding! We peer out the windows, and there is a woman standing on the sidewalk applauding. She said it sounded really great and asked if we were doing Celtic Fest, and seemed sorry to hear that we weren't.

I guess if you can make random passers-by break into applause, you have to be doing SOMETHING right. :)

We plan to record this winter. We've been scrambling since the first of the year just to get material learned and rearranged just for the gigs we HAVE, and we're booked solid through Stronghold. Look for something new in the spring.
