A Looooong Weekend

woody_whistler's first "real" 3-day as a vocalist, and his voice crapped out a bit mid-afternoon, but not bad . jcw_da_dmg was fine health-wise but the new guitar strings were unhappy with the humidity.
Of course, this was the hottest day of the 3 and the sun was shining brightly. The sets went well, and at least 2 we had patrons request stuff that we were able to do and tips reflected that. We're finally hitting our stride as a trio, both musically and with the comedy interaction during songs.julietbac turned up, and was totally embarassed that the stories about "Lady Bridget dancing out of her clothing during the Korabushka" have become legend.
I was a bit too tired for the ice-tossing game, but I made up a temporary "Will Sing forFood BEER" sign to wear in my wanderings. Yay for passive lazzi! Did some shoppies, chatted with some merchants, and got a new belt pouch to replace one that is hiding somewhere in my apartment.
Unfortunately, between the humidity, the dust, and the fact that every shop seemed to be burning incense, my asthma kicked in rather visciously around 4:15. Of course, this was in the middle of singing lead on "The Mermaid" and while the ED was watching. Sigh. Got through the set, and through the 5:30 Maypole, but had to sit out most of the Pub Sing except for our numbers (I usually play along with all the other groups), and I was in pretty awesome pain by cannon. I'm told that 2-3 other peformers actually were sent home because of breathing issues, so it wasn't just me. But once I was changed and in the air-conditioned car I started feeling better, and I slept most of the way home. Lungs are still tender and ribs ache, but I took an extra multivitamin, had a powerade with breakfast and an all-fruit smoothie with lunch. I HAVE to do laundry tonight but as soon as that's done I'm going to bed early.
As I hauled all my crap through my front door, I was greeted by a happy hoppy bunny-dance. She danced for her pellets and let me pet her a bit. I slept on the couch and I know I was visited at least once overnight - I was half-awake enough that I felt the curious whiskers and the bounces around the cushions. Yay - she missed me!
Am running mostly on autopilot today.
