I am likely to continue breathing for the forseeable future.

This is a good thing, because while I do likethe color blue, it's not a very good skin tone.

Today was my follow-up with the pulmonologist I saw in July. I've been using my rescue inhaler 3-4x per week since labor day or so, but between the ragweed and the leaf mold this is ALWAYS the worst time of year for my allergies. Thus the fact that my symptoms are breaking through isn't too surprising. She said to continue as I am going and call her if it gets worse, but at the moment I should just use the rescue inhaler as needed and pray for a good hard frost.

I've had a touch of a cold since Friday, and while it is trying to turn into a sinus infection I'm still winning. Yay for my pseudo-neti-pot! (It's a small beaker from American Science & Surplus, but it does the job) I have just enough fever to be sweaty and a little dizzy, and for people to have to repeat themselves around me a lot while I blink confusedly at them. So I try to eat well, take my vitamins, and nap a lot.

Tonight I go over chez [livejournal.com profile] ashtalet to decide what I want to keep as a memory of [livejournal.com profile] jfc013. I have been thinking that one of her wierder stuffed animals (the arty ones with three eyes or something) would be suitable. She was "Speaker To Toys", and something cute and cuddly but just a bit peculiar...spot on for her. *sniffles* There is an Illinois Artists shop next to my office building, and I almost started crying in there the other day - I went to so many art faires with her. They had a display of cool little wooden boxes I KNOW she would have loved. sigh.

I went to Sams Club last night and now I can barely close my freezer. Pepper is very pleased that there are non-wilted yummies for her now.
