If I AM going to get sick, I wish I would, and then I could get it over with. I'm fevery and sweaty enough that my hair is visibly wet, and slightly dizzy all the time. It hurts to swallow, and my asthma is flaring up. I have the attention span of a gnat on speed. I broke down in tears at my desk because my boss yelled at me (he was fine 5 minutes later - I think he realized he stepped over the line).

Got some stuff squared away for Janet's memorial, which dredged up a lot of emotional stuff such that I tossed and turned all night - I think I got 3 hours of sleep. I think I screwed up my checkbook somewhere - I have overdraft protection so it will sort itself out with a minimum of fuss but I have to wait a couple of days for it to do so.

I'm just soooooo tired.....

Pepper, you let your momma get some rest! The hoarhound throat drops are for her, not for you, as are the tea bags. Tuck her in, make her nice and comfy, and don't use her head for a spring-board, 'cause it's all hot and icky right now. Keep guard over her so no more nasty germs sneak up on her and steal her spoons away. And find some soft music for her to play to ease aches and soothe her to sleep. Mommas sometimes need us to step in, because they work themselves too hard and don't know enough to rest when they need it. It's a human thing, and we must take care of them when they have been over-stressed and over-tired. It will also help if you give her hand nose-nudges or even lay next to the couch, so she knows you are there.

Remember! Don't eat her throat drops!
