Girlz Rule!
I saw something at Windycon last weekend that made me very happy.
Sunday morning is Critter Crunch, a sort of Robot Wars for amateurs. I wandered in to see what was up.
The current competitors were two very intent, very poised, young women! They looked to be in the 12-14 age range, one was dressed in a nice sweater and dress slacks, and the other was wearing a long blue satin princess dress - with petticoats!
A Princess! Driving a Robot that She Built Herself!
"I'm a Pretty Pretty Princess, and I'll kick your ass with my mad tech skilz!
Words cannot describe how happy this made me.

Parsons High School has a Robotics Club, one that is registered to compete in one segment of the Robot Wars sometime next year. This morning it was announced that Morgan T. has been named as the team captain.
Morgan just finished up a run as The Wicked Witch Of The West in Oz this past weekend. Yep, she is running the show this year...
