It actually wasn’t as ghoulish as I thought it might have been (despite his insistence on playing “Dead People’s Clothes” for us). I think it’s been long enough that they are just “things” now. There was some “oh I was with her when she bought that!”-ness, but in general it was “look - there really IS a metric buttload of crap here, and it can’t ALL be meaningfull. But everything is sorted, still that we can use or want as mementos is taken, and everything else is bagged tagged and inventoried for ease in donations and in taking tax deductions next year. And ashtalet has more than one small dresser and a single clothes bar to keep his things on!

I got a variety of things - costumey and not. It was kind of wierd taking back a blouse and skirt that she bought from me back when I did retail, or the french hood we cobbled together for her to hide her first surgery scars. I also got some winter scarves and gloves I was really hoping for and need, and another winter coat.
I still feel wierd about some of it - I mean, I was picking through a dead person’s stuff!
But it’s also good to know it’s done.
One more step along the road, I guess.

Now that I see, it'd 2 pairs of sz 18 pants, 1 navy and 1 grey. You could either make arrangements to come get them or I could box and weigh them and you can paypal me for postage.
