probably not all that interested in the position, but it might work and I need to get back in the saddle for interview practice.
Position is at a foreclosure firm (a growing industry) - they manage, market and sell properties for banks. Position needs to schedule inspectors in the field and adjust as necessary (which I'm not sure I can do, as I don't know the burbs well) and then the inspectors' photos need to be uploaded, renamed, and organized. Owner is pretty forceful and driven and not sure I could handle working for him, but I agreed to meet with him anyway.
However, while I was on the phone with him I burned the macaroni I had on the stove. It smells like a toaster fire in here now. Ick.

Date: 2007-12-16 01:58 pm (UTC)Since you want the practice interviewing, I won't post (good or bad, assuming that we know them at all) until Monday evening, but I'll be happy to provide what info I can after the interview.
Incidentally, FYI for the interview, if all they handle is managing and marketing of properties, then they're not actually a foreclosure firm -- they're a post-foreclosure, or REO (Real-Estate Owned) firm. The property is managed and marketed after the foreclosure sale. If they do property inspections and preservation pre-foreclosure, then they are (partially) a foreclosure firm.
If you want additional info to arm yourself for the interview, I'll be home all day after about 1:00 (noon, your time). Feel free to give a call -- you can get the number off the Janet contact list.
Good luck!
