Should have expected as much...

As is typical for at least one side of her family (we are always early for EVERYTHING) little Zoe Zdrodowski turned up not only nearly 2 weeks before she was originally due but nearly 24 hours before she was scheduled to be induced!

She's 6 lbs 14 oz and 19 inches long. Word is still out as to whether she will have her mom's Jewish nose, her dad's blobby ski-snoot, or some unholy combination of the two.

My mother started in with the "and at 9:00 the contractions were so many minutes apart and..." and I went "Mom - you DO realize you're speaking German as far as I'm concerned, right?". (I also reminded her that she wasn't getting one of those from me)

So anyway - welcome Zoe! This is the only time in your life that you will be "first" for anything, so enjoy it while you can!

Yay Zoe! Bienvenue a Planet Earth!

And it's about time we had something positive and life-affirming for a change!

Early, huh?

Congrats on being an auntie. Can't believe that your mother was ready to share all the nitty-gritty with you.

I *could* translate, but ... you really don't want to know.

She was a little over-excited - first grandchild and all that I guess.

I've been telling her since I was at least 25 that I wasn't going to have kids, but she always said "you'll change your mind" - um - no. Once I turned 40 though, she kind of shut up about it. The pictures I sent at X-mas of "your GrandBunny" probably didn't help either....

Congrats to your brother and his wife... and to you as well..

Breena already thinks you are a wonderful Auntie...
which reminds me she was totally enthralled today that you made her 2 fairy skirts (yes I have showed her before, today she really noticed lol) She kept saying Aunt Wendy made these? oooo Aunt wendy fairy skirts...
hehehehehe

Awwww, how sweet. Zoe is a great name! I can't believe her initials are Z.Z. that's TOTALLY cool. And I know it's greek to you, but it's great that she could avoid being induced. ^_^

Well, there were issues with gestational diabetes, so they had to make sure she could FIT OUT! But it looks like little zz had other ideas.

Being an aunt is the greatest! You get to have all the fun and spoil them rotten, and hand them back when they get bratty. :)
