I'm staying home today again - hopefully calling my doc and asking her to scribbble one extra day on the work note will work. I'm only on the puter for a minute or so more while I finish my neb.

I realized yesterday that I had managed a grand total of 2-3 hours upright on Sunday and that hadnt gone terribly well. This is the kind of tired that means it really IS too far to reach to put in a DVD and the thought of walking down the hall to the bathroom makes you start to cry. like you constantly have a big heavy blanket on holding you down.

Before anyone starts yelling - Friday and Saturday may well have had no bearing on this.

I coughed up most of the alien slime babies yesterday afternoon and am mostly breathing OK but I'm tired and shivery-sweaty so I'm definetly not on my game yet. I think that if I am good I can finish this out and start the actual improvement soon. That'd be nice.

Perhaps it's the duties of caring for the rest of the sick family that had done me in. I was better at day 8 (Saturday). Emily seems better at day 6, but T seems still in a bad way at day 5.

Sweetie, stay home, in bed. Trust me when I say it's the only thing that'll help you lick this in the beginning. I spent four days on my back and not in the fun way... I didn't even get up out of bed to do the DVD thing either, thank goodness we have satellite. I didn't even knit when I was sick. I just lay there in bed staring at the TV most of the time.

STay home. STay in bed. Do not go anywhere that is not absoblinkin required, please? I speak from experience here, this one ain't so easy to lick.

But I have a casserole in the oven and I'm actually pondering reading a book. I needed today.
