wendyzskiThe most awesomest job ever called back and i am interviewing on Tuesday at 5:30.
I don't want to say too much, but it's at a known tech company. It would be casual dress, comfortable atmosphere with free snacks and subsidized yoga classes onsite, with decent money and bennies. It's an Office Manager/Bookeeper position. I've been office mom to a bunch of geeks before and it's always a great time. In the job listing they also asked about any interesting hobbies and/or musical tastes, and I thought "Got it in one!". They also said that an interest in future voice-over work would be a nice plus.
So I ended my cover letter with a brief bit about faire and music, and closed with "I would love the opportunity to meet with you in person to discuss my qualifications and experience. I promise to leave my sword at home."
It would be possible to sign on with the govt contract company and give my notice, and THEN bail on them for this job if it comes through.
