We're topped out on the VPI policy for pasteurella for the year, and she shows every sign that this is going to be a chronic issue for her, so when I took her in today we talked about a longer-term treatment plan for her.

Since she is tolerating the chloro-whatsits so well we're going to keep her on it for 2 months this time (with the probiotic as well). We also have a supplement for her because she has started and stopped her summer molt so many times because of the stress that she's all itchy and flaky. It should be fine to dose her on a modified schedule because of my travel, so no need to worry about finding a pet-sitter.

She's just happy that there is again a little blob of (drug-laced) applesauce at every meal.

applesauce is like the bunny version of peanutbutter and cheese for dogs?

and even tho it's chronic, i'm glad it's under control :)

applesauce, canned pumpkin, and veggie baby foods are very useful things for sickly bunnies.

Have you tried Baytri? I don't remember if you've tried it. Sugar has really good results with long term Baytril.

They like yogurt too. Strawberry banana is big around here.

Baytril was the first thing we tried months back, but the strain she has is resistant to it. She got better for a week and then started getting worse again.
