is that the seller's attorney is an idiot.

He called her a few minutes ago and wanted to schedule closing for Friday.

After my attorney finished laughing, she explained that she already had 2 closings for other clients on Friday afternoon. THen she told him she'd call me.

I told her I can schedule it next T, W or Th. (I'm NOT signing legal docs in a faire-fog on Monday). So now we wait. It'll be harder to schedule movers next week as it's the end of the month too. Grr...

But there are a couple of issues that we need addressed before closing, so I'm not even sure if it'll happen next week or now.

See, it's the scheduling of closings "fun" is one of the things I miss least about my job. I had to deal with situations like that on a regular basis.

Ah the wonderful world of mortgages...unfortunately, this is pretty typical. This also goes a long way toward explaining why there's a mortgage meltdown!

I thought the idiocy of the seller's lawyer was already well-established. Shame on the seller for not hitting him upside the head with a great big clue-by-four.
