Well, I had one before sort of, but now I'm assigned to someone who will actually be there at the closing.

Whenever THAT is...

I'm working with the Community Economic Development Law Project because they have a sliding scale for low-income homebuyers. Usually what happens is that the staff attorney assignes you a pro bono volunteer attorney.

However, because there was "so much movement on your case so early on" (Read as "So much BS") the staff attorney has been helping me.

I sent her a copy of 'Legally Correct Fairy Tales' for her trouble - and yay that she didn't already have it. I didn't read the whole thing but the story of Jack and Jill is framed as a product liability suit against the bucket manufacturer and the Emperor and the Tailor are suing each other for damages related to the New Clothes.

But I actually have a nice young associate from Kirkland and Ellis who will be my actual on-site person.

Assuming that the seller's lawyer eventually gets all of his waterfowl linearly aligned that is
(and thanks [livejournal.com profile] ashtalet for that phrase!)

So what you're saying is that the quack still can't arrange a closing date?

pretty much

Ill give him a little slack on this one because he's having to go back to the bank and get a new approval letter for a lower selling price - since he missed the deadline I can negotiate this - but I'm still not impressed with him
