anyone want a dvd player for $9.99?

I got my coupons for the digital converter thingie the other day.

(My main TV already has a digital converter in the DVDr, but I might want to add another TV in the bedroom or office, so I requested the coupons anyway)

They give you $40 towards a converter box.

I went to Amazon.com and looked at their eligible machines, and some of them were combo dvd players and converters, for only $49.99 with free shipping.

So for a net of $9.99 I now have a DVD player coming.

And if you haven't already and you have an older TV (or might want to get a cheap TV later) go ahead and get your coupons.

I went to Amazon.com and searched for digital converter

they gave me a page of stuff. They have a weird thing about using the coupons - you have to enter the code and get it validated and then click in a link in the e-mail they send you to get the page of "things you can use it on".

And something went wrong with my order so it actually charged my credit card for the full amount. But in about an hour after my e-mail, they informed me that they'd put through a $40 credit to my credit card.

But it will all work out in the end. I DID have to pay shipping, but again it's less than $20 for a dvd player and it's coming by Friday. It's not a fancy one, but good enough to put with a craigslist TV for something to sew to.
