Religion FAIL

Apparently someone wasn't paying attention in Sunday School.

Today has been declared the “Day of Prayer for the World’s Economies?”
One of the organizers stated "“We are going to intercede at the site of the statue of the bull on Wall Street to ask God to begin a shift from the bull and bear markets to what we feel will be the ‘Lion’s Market,’ or God’s control over the economic systems.”

Here is a photo of their 'service'.

A slightly more relevent to yor interests nooz:

Five lines of ancient script on a shard of pottery could be the oldest example of Hebrew writing ever discovered, an archaeologist in Israel says (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7700037.stm)

Great...all we need is for Moses to step out the the Citibank building and hurl down his 10 Year Action Plan portfolio in fury!

See, I figure that between the bolts of lightning from heaven and all the biblical scholars spinning in their graves, we can make a BIG dent in the energy crisis...

You know, odds are good that there really is someone in the building named Moses....

In God we trust. All others pay interest.

Jesus saves, Moses invests, Cthulu takes.

So many cheesy responses, so little time...

That is a distinctive FAIL.

Much like keeping kosher and having the Sabbath on Saturday, avoiding worshipping idols is one of the things that accepting Jesus frees you from. You'd understand this if you had accepted Jesus. :-)

in another metaquote comment "On the other hand, claiming that it's not /technically/ the Bull they're praying to is like standing in a broom closet with another member of the appropriately gender identity with few clothes on, and shouting "IT'S NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE" when someone opens the door."

Hah! You beat me to it! Saw that earlier.

Hey, you know, if you're gonna do that kind of stuff, just give up and call it Paganism.

I'm not used to seeing pictures of that bull from the front on the web.

Why does this look like a scene for The Ten Commandments just before Chuck comes down from Mount Sinai with a couple of big flat stones?
