Apparently I suck at pie.
There will be pork-and-apple....something.
Some of it will be vaguely pie-shaped. Some will have two crusts even. Some won't.
I've got bread! Maybe you can kind of put baked pork-and-apple goop on it. Or something.

And it may still TASTE good. Just ... look a little funny...
Pie crusts are really difficult. On the very rare occassion when I have done anything vaguely resembling a pie, I get a pre-made crust.

Date: 2008-12-14 01:30 am (UTC)I can offer a suggestion, though - if you have the refrigerator cans of croissants or flaky biscuits (or the ingredients to make biscuits), you can make a sort-of pie. Put the filling into a casserole dish of some sort and cook it in the oven just as you would the pie, except put the biscuits or croissant dough over the top during the last 10-15 minutes (however long the bread portion is supposed to bake). I've done that before with chicken pot pie filling - since I cannot make an edible pie crust to save my soul, I do 'deep dish' pot pie with biscuits on the top.
