Yeah, I actually have no problem with x-mas *craft* stuff going up for sale in June - after all, summer is when most people have time to do it, and some types take a while to get done. And *maybe* if you've got some stuff up, you might have other stuff next to it... but JoAnns puts the "other stuff" up on the *far* side of the store from the fabric and craft stuff, so no excuse.
Oddly enough, this was a topic of conversation with our waitress at Waffle House this morning, too... She'd noted the V-Day stuff out yesterday as well.
Sigh... back to school stuff out in *May* this year, first x-mas (non-craft) stuff I saw was at the mall at the end of August (oddly enough, no Halloween stuff up at that store at the same time), first Halloween stuff (non-party store, again, that doesn't count) middle of August this year.
Oh, and when the girl and I went shopping, looking for gloves the second week of December? Limited Too had *only* Spring stuff out (other than clearance)... short sleeves and all. Now *that* is just *super wrong*.
What annoys me most about accelerating the holidays is that the radio station that started playing Christmas music on November first goes back to their regular play schedule on December 26th. Technically yes, the holiday is over, but why not give us a few days to savor it?
