Note to myself and anyone who cares

I'm taking Friday off work for Capricon.
I'll be leaving 9:45 AM for a nice leisurely nap on the bus that goes from a block from my house to Union Station. They'll wake me up and toss me off the bus at 11:10ish.
Train leaves Union Station at 11:35 and arrives at Lake Cook Rd at 12:23, where
post_toastie will retreive me. I am rooming with him,
rose1thorne and
miridearie, and I have the check written out already so I won't spend it on silly things.
I'm really only interested in 2 panels but they have the disadvantage of featuring someone who really annoys me (they tried to BS me when I was a masquerade judge, because I didn't know the source material. Luckily another judge did.) so who knows what I'll be doing. Probably hanging around a lot as I'm no longer sick but certainly not back to perkiness yet. There also seems to be a great deal of Munchkin scheduled in the gaming room.
I have no idea what I'll be wearing, as I have NOTHING suited to the theme (Camp Capricon) and I'm at 8lbs over my previous high weight. I forsee a lot of "faire casual" etc.
Pepper will not be attending as she is feeling quite well and getting back into trouble again. Yesterday she actually dug the videotapes out of the TV stand and got far enough inside to shove the interior wire grid panel aside and nibble on my stereo wires!
Not sure how I am getting home but I figure I can sort that out at some point this weekend.

Date: 2009-02-17 06:21 pm (UTC)Then there's the church camp we did work at. We wore old jeans, covered by wool pants or rain pants, galoshes, t-shirt, sweater or lined flannel, raincoat, warm hat. Despite the fact that it was the week before Memorial Day (May), we were in the UP, and it was snowing for half of our week long trip.
I went to Girl Scout camp a few times, but we wore our every day clothes. Same with our grade school class, going to White Pines Ranch in Oregon, Illinois.
Camping with my grandparents involved an Airestream trailer.
Brice is threatening to set up a tent in the Art Show. Who knows. If there's space, they may just let him do it.
He says he'll wear his Boy Scout Assistant Scoutmaster uniform at least one day. I'll probably end up in at least one rennie outfit, and maybe one space pirate outfit. No idea for the rest of it.
