and i STILL can't get a straight answer about what is going on about the porch lights.
Previous president got the kind that have to be installed by an electrician, only ordered 2 when we need 3, and they have been sitting in her hallway for 5 months now.
We can order solar powered ones that our maintenance guy can install for $139 including shipping, and we can have them in a week.
I have no idea why they insist on making this difficult.

Date: 2009-04-28 02:35 am (UTC)I just had to send the following message AGAIN:
The permanent porch lights are a separate issue and have not been discussed in open meeting, therefor we cannot move forward at this time. I asked Sarah for a vague estimate so we knew what we were looking at as far as cost so we can discuss it at the June meeting.
I know this seems unnecessarily complicated, but the fact remains that ALL business decisions of the association MUST be discussed at an open board meeting. We can't just go pick out lights because we like them - we have to give all the owners the opportunity to have a say.
And we haven't even GOTTEN to the point that somewhere along the line the former president seems to have decided that she doesn't have to pay her full assessment because she's got her own heating system. Um - no. Assessments are set by percentage of ownership and that's in the bylaws. That's like me deciding that I don't have to pay my full amount because I don't use the back stairs!
The June meeting is going to be interesting...
