"Been better, been worse".
No fever since last night. In fact, I have an anti-fever. My temp hasn't registered above 98 since then. I'm shivery and achy and vaguely nauseous and sleeping 18-20 hours a day. But I'm not coughing, my throat isn't very sore and the blinding headaches are receding.
If it is/was piggy-flu, it's a nice mild case with no complications. You know, in the long term, this is actually good - if this thing mutates into something nastier, I'll have partial immunity.
I'm going to be a good girl and stay isolated through the weekend but i'm thinking i'll be able to go back to work on Monday.
Interestingly, there was about an 8 hour period when Pepper-Bunny wouldn't come near me, even for pettins. I wonder if I "smelled sick"? But about an hour or so after I took a shower she was back to normal. Weird.

Date: 2009-05-02 01:36 am (UTC)Don't count on the partial immunity. With your history of secondary infections and respiratory complications, get the vaccine. Your doctor should put you on the priority list. The headaches (especially the severity you are describing) aren't one of the common symptoms of the piggy-flu. They might indicate West Nile. Have you seen any misquitoes (sp!)?
