I still put the air conditioners in the windows last night because it was so bloody humid, and the coolest high temp for the upcoming week is 85, blech.

Made the first batch of ice cream last night - vanilla. Should have let the bowls chill longer but I was impatient so it only got the the stage of a nice thick milk shake. After firming up overnite it has a texture more like italian ice than ice cream, but still tasty and refreshing. Next step - lime sherbert.

We are officially under a heat advisory for pretty much the rest of the week. I didn't do all that much today, but since most of that little bit involved going in and out of the heat, i am beyond exausted because of it. :-P

I found it works best to let it freezer for 3 days, and then it makes awesome icecream.

Mmm... Ice cream... I sometimes make ice cream. I usually freeze it as lollypops rather than in a block.

I thought of that yesterday and will likely stop by the $1 store to pick up a couple of popsicle makers. (In American, lollypops are those hard candy things on sticks, and popsicles are frozen treats)
