I wuz a surprise!

I met [livejournal.com profile] telaryn and [livejournal.com profile] laughingimp for dinner tonight. He orchestrated. [livejournal.com profile] telaryn and I were in college together, went to our first con together, worked/played on the A&O Film Board and in general got into a lot of creative trouble for a time. I think I've only seen her maybe once since she moved back South, so it was great to catch up in person. Hopefully we didn't bore [livejournal.com profile] laughingimp too badly talking about people he didn't know, and adding another dimension to people he thought he DID know.

I was very brave - we went for Ethiopian food. This seems to consist of a large sour pancake with blops of various colored and tasty goo scattered on it. You have extra sour-pancake that you tear into bits and use to eat the various goos. They were merciful on me and ordered not-spicy things.

Tomorrow is errands-day. Gas company is coming veryearly to install a remote-meter-reading-thingie in the building, then I'm picking up a $30 Craigslist TV for the studio, and then some misc need-a-car-for errands.

Sunday I'm marching in the Pride Parade with I-go, for people-watching and 4 hours of driving credit. I've always wanted to go, but I hate crowds, especially in summer. At only 5'3" I can never see anything in a crowd anyway, and I generally get to spend a lot of time in people's armpits. Now where is that "honorary lesbian" badge....

[livejournal.com profile] mnfiddledragon: Can you still eat the injera?) Maybe we should go sometime together...

Ethiopian food is pretty delicious as long as it's not too spicy. I love the meat dishes, because they somehow go much better with the bread. Although, I'm not much of a fan of eating the soggy mess at the end with all the various liquids. By that point, I'm already full anyway. ;)
